We're having a baby!

I got this cute idea from a friend to track my pregnancy every week so I can watch my stomach get bigger. I want to compare my pictures and blogs to my next pregnancy. As of right now I am 11 weeks and 4 days. I have only gained 2 pounds and it is all going to my stomach. Some of you might not notice a difference but I do. I thought 15 sounded like a good number, so I will start posting pictures around then and really start tracking my pregnancy. Andrew and I first found out we were pregnant just a couple days after my birthday (April 30). We were both a little worried because I was taking birth control the first month. When I found out I could not wait to tell my mom. She ordered my dress for my sister's wedding just a week before I found out, so I thought it would be a good idea to tell her to cancel the order while she could because there was no way I would be able to fit in a size 4 dress, 5 months pregnant. I have been really sick these last few weeks but I only have to endure a couple more weeks of morning sickness. :) I did not expect to be sick this much but it is all worth it. I have really good sense of smell so doing dishes and cooking have been out of the question. Andrew has been really helpful doing the dishes and cooking. I don't have any weird cravings yet, but I do crave cheesy potatoes and cookies n creme ice cream. We do have our names picked out already. I have an idea in my head on what I want to do for both genders. I am really excited. If its a girl it will be Avery Rae and Trevin for a boy. I'm not sure on the middle name for Trevin yet. It will either be J or Jeff because I want to name him after my dad, so we will wait until we find out the gender until we make the decision. They are both different names but I don't want names you hear everyday. I like unique and different. We find out the sex right before we come home so I am really excited to give my family the news in person. We have been so blessed and we are really excited to be parents. :)

Rumors...

It has been so long since I've blogged. So many things have happened since the last time I have been on. Andrew and I decided it was time to move into a house so we found a really cute house with a huge backyard. We were in need of a yard for our dogs, so it has been really nice being able to let them out and not have to worry. We love our new home and we do not plan on moving until we pcs out of Florida. Hopefully that is a while out because I HATE moving. Today was a very special day for me and Andrew. We went to the hospital and had our first ultrasound. To put an end to the rumors, yes we are having a baby! :) My baby is due Janruary 6. We might have a new years baby..... We are all really excited and I cannot wait to meet my little one. Hearing the heart beat for the first time was the greatest thing in the world. There are no words to explain it. I only wanted family to know until we knew the baby was healthy and developing right. We got an A+ from my doctor today. We have been so blessed and I can't wait for what is to come.

20!

I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. My day was definitely great. After work, my husband took me shopping and ordered me a new camera! :) I love taking pictures and I was in need of a really good professional camera and my wonderful husband surprised me with one. To end the night he took me to P.F. changs. Yum! The day before was also our anniversary. Didn't do much because we both had work. Work always comes before play so in two weeks we are really going to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday in Panama City. I am looking forward to it because we are going to go snorkel, swim with dolphins, and spotlight gators. It can't get much better then that even if it is a little late. I am just grateful that we get to do things we've always wanted to do. Makes you appreciate what you have and where you are because how many people can say they've done that? My life is definitely an adventure and I am loving it. :)

Under the Sea

I swear I live in the best place on earth. I was on my way to work the other day, and along the way I cross two bridges that sit in the bay. As I was driving up the last bridge that connects to Destin, guess what I saw?! A pod of dolphins!!! How awesome is that? That is something you don't see everyday. I wish I could've stopped driving to take a few pictures but unfortunately I couldn't. I also went fishing the other day with my hubs and saw a sea turtle and sting rays. It's crazy going from seeing sea life in an aquarium to them being in your backyard. I don't think I will ever get used to this. Tomorrow morning we are waking up early to go walk along the pier to watch dolphins swim and eat the fish. I will definitely be taking pictures. :) I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend.

Therapeutic

What a gorgeous day it is here in Florida. I am loving this spring/summer weather. With all the sunshine you would think I would be getting tan but no, I am still as white as can be. Eventually I will get there but seems like it is taking forever. Of course on my one day off with Andrew, it rains. The day I spent outside, it's cloudy and rainy. Go figure! But the rain did not keep us inside all day. Andrew and our good friend Dan, took me to the golf course. I am not much of a golfer and never really liked the sport. I figured if I wasnt any good at miniature golf, it wouldn't be any different with the real deal. We only did the driving range and it turned out to be a lot of fun but I made a complete idiot out of myself. I missed the ball more then I hit it. I surprised myself with how much I actually enjoyed it. It is something Andrew and I will both be doing together when we find the time.

Tonight Andrew starts his 12 hour shifts. :/ Leaving me home alone from 6 pm to 6 am. Then when he comes home, I leave for work. This makes seeing each other difficult. Thank goodness it is only temporary but doesn't make it any easier. You learn with the little time you have together make up for all the lonely nights apart. It's just part of the lifestyle. A lifestyle I have grown to love and hate all in one. Military spouses know exactly what I mean. What brings despair also brings enjoyment. With all the women I have met at support groups and all the opportunities it has opened up. Of course deployment, lonely days, and 10 minute phone calls are part of it but I can accept that.

Now I think I am just rambling but the blog is more of a diary of mine that I allow other people to read. I just love to write. It is therapeutic. It gives me a place I can write down all my thoughts and frustrations. I hope someone like me who is just getting started as a military wife can look at my posts and get something out of it. Some advice I didn't get when this all started for me almost a year ago. Some people think we have it all together. That it's easy living this way but it's not. I think every military spouse should have a blog or diary that they can just escape to from time to time. It helps with the chaos that never seems to end. Ever since Andrew left for BMT, I would sit down and write. I've learned it helps us both to get everything out on paper so we dont take it out on each other. You would be surprised what it does to your relationship.
