2 Days!!!

Well in two days I will finally be out of Texas! :) I know I talk about getting out of here so much but if you have been here and hate flat ugliness, you would probably agree with me. So Andrew signed the lease to our new place in Florida today! I am so excited for it. Its nice to know that we wont have to fork out a lot of money for a hotel. Now all I need to do is find a job and we will be set.

I feel like it is time for a change. Yes I am going back to blonde. I haven't been blonde for almost two years and a fresh new look is always great. It wont be a dramatic change , just a couple of highlights. I love having dark hair but hard to keep up with it when the sun lightens it up. Since I moving to sunshine Florida, I feel like its the perfect time to do it.

I feel like I have so much to do in these next couple of days. I am not looking forward to Friday. I just want to skip over the packing and moving part. Having someone pack it and haul it into a truck is always nice, but not when you have to sit there watching them do it while marking a bunch of numbers off on a chart. I would rather be road tripping with my husband. Well off to bed before my crazy Wednesday starts.

Candles, Pasta, and Cold Showers

Sadly, this weekend is coming to an end. But my weekend has been filled with laughs and fun. Tonight Andrew planned a romantic night for both of us. He made me my favorite dish, Fettuccine Alfredo. Turned off all the lights, lit candles all over the living room, and made a very cozy bed for us on the floor. What a night! ;) It was romantic and it was exactly what I needed to get my mind off of the week that is to come. What could be more better then a night with your man and your two puppies?! I couldn't ask for anything more.

After our delicious dinner, we just laid down and started talking about anything and everything. Talking that lead to picking on each other. Which then lead me to dump my glass of water on Andrew lol. I thought I got him so good until he wrestled me into the bath tub and turned the shower on. Talk about cold. I was soaked from head to toe. As much as I wanted to tackle him down and do the same to him, I couldn't stop myself from laughing.

I am so happy I am with someone who can make me laugh. Tonight was definitely an epic night filled with romance and laughter. What a better way to spend a Saturday night!

Good Friends and Taco Bell

It is our last weekend in San Angelo. Actually in Texas! As much as I dislike this place, it is a bittersweet feeling that we are leaving. The person in charge of our move, came over to the house today to see what all they had to pack. It feels surreal that we have less then a week here. Its sad to say goodbye to our friends as we all part our different ways. Hopefully in a couple of years we will see them again at our next duty station.

Today we had a full day of fun. We had friends over for a barbecue and watched Real Steel. If any of you haven't seen it, I recommend it. It is a really good movie. Towards the end of the night we all ran to Taco Bell for more food and I watched three airman scarf down as many tacos as they can. Oh the things we do in San Angelo. Now since I sat through MW3 most of day, I'm making them watch Beauty and the Beast lol. I thought that would be a nice way to end the night don't cha' think?!

Graduation and Moving

Today is the day. Andrew is finally graduating! :) I am so glad school is over with and he can actually start doing what he signed up for. I am so proud of him words cannot even explain.

As we were getting ready for our move, we found out that the time of us being here got extended almost a week. Ya it is only 4 days, but 4 days too long. I am ready to get out of Texas. I am so glad we are not getting stationed anywhere like Texas. I couldn't live in the middle of no where, where the next city is almost 300 miles away. Andrew and I would both go crazy. We are so blessed that we are getting to be stationed in a nice area.

A week from Friday, we will be headed home.We get there just in time for my dad's, Clayton's, and Tayzlie's  birthday. I am so excited to see everyone but because of Goodfellow TMO, it does take a week off of our vacation. But we are in Idaho until the 17th so I am going to make the best of it with the little time I do have. I probably should start getting ready for Andrew's graduation so I am not late, I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday! :)

Final Week

Its the end of a fabulous weekend and a new week of work begins! Graduation week is finally here! :) I just have to say how proud I am of my husband. Passing two years worth of school in six months is pretty amazing! What else is amazing that tech school is over and moving day is right around the corner. I am ready for Andrew to live with me and I am ready to get out of Texas. I just want to go home, see my family, and enjoy the beautiful mountains as long as I can. Some would think I am crazy for missing mountains but being surrounded by mountains your whole life then going to none at all is quit a change. But I think I will be willing to give that up for some ocean. :) Papers have not been signed yet for our house but we are 99.9% sure we have it! We can't sign papers until we are in Florida. I have been spending my days looking up color schemes and wall decor. I haven't quit figured out how I am going to decorate but I am sure my amazing interior designer mother will give me some advice on what she thinks would look good. (Here's a little sneak peak of the home we will be moving into.)

The day is not set on when we are going to be coming home. We are shooting for the 1st if everything goes as planned. But with the way they messed with everybody orders, nothing is set until tomorrow when Andrew goes to his meeting with TMO (People who set up the move). Being married in the military has its perks like being first priority when it comes to TMO. I will be crossing my fingers because if they can't get us in until the first week of February we won't be coming home, we will be Florida bound. :/ Pray everything goes good because I really need to see my Campbell family.

Count Your Blessings!

When everything just falls into place, you just know you are meant to be there. Like I have said before, the military has been so good to me and my husband in many ways. As it gets closer to February, we have been looking at homes on the Internet. Homes in Florida can get really pricey if you want a really nice one. The house we are in now is old and kinda falling apart. I was fine living in an older home for six months but since we will be in Florida for who knows how long, I want a really nice one. So I've done my research and guess what folks?! We have ourselves a new home! Its this cute 3 bedroom and 2.5 bath home. This house is amazing inside. It has everything me and Andrew both want in a home. Granite counter tops with an island. Stainless steel appliances, huge master suite with an extra large bathroom. Just outside of Hurlburt and right by the beach. :) How can it be more perfect? The cute couple who will be renting it out to us just loves Airman and without the military we wouldn't have been able to get a nice house like this. We are definitely blessed and I am so excited to start my new life in Florida with my best friend. This takes so much stress off of our shoulders. Now we can both sit back and enjoy our families. Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Milkshakes and MW3

As some of you know from my most recent post, it was a three day weekend. I have to say it was one of the best weekends I have had in awhile. Sadly though it is coming to an end fast and I have to kiss my husband goodbye for the rest of the week. Andrew has finally made it to Lonestar. Lonestar is one the hardest week in Andrews course. It will be exactly like he is operational. I cant say much about what he is going to do but I can say he will sit there and stare at a computer screen from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Poor guy but he loves his job and I am excited for him. Next week, Andrew will finally have his associates degree. I am so lucky that the Air Force pays for his schooling and he still gets his GI bills, because he is passing them to me so I can start getting my dental assisting in Florida. As much as I don't agree with some of the things the Air Force has put us through, I wouldn't give it up for anything. I love the feeling of certainty. My husband has a career and I know I will always be provided for. In a lot of ways the Air Force has been more good to us then bad and I am so proud of my husband for choosing to serve.

Ok enough about that. As much as some of you who don't know, Andrew is a genius in the kitchen. The other night he made an Oreo mint chocolate milkshake for me. It was delicious. I swear he can just through everything and anything together and make it taste good. He is definitely the cook when it comes to me or him.

We also went and saw the new Mission Impossible with one of our friends. I'm not much of a fan but it was an okay movie. The rest of the weekend was filled with Modern Warfare and laziness. What could be better?! Laying back in our sweats, playing video games, and escaping reality as much as we can. As much as I hate to see it go, Andrew has to go back to work. On a brighter note, moving week is coming fast and we are both ready to get out of here. So much to do these next few weeks but all the stress is worth it. Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday! :)

Gotta Love Fridays!

It is finally Friday and the three day weekend can begin! :) I love Fridays because it means Andrew gets to come home for the weekend and we can have one of our little adventures. Speaking of adventures, we started one earlier today.

Before Andrew got home from work and before I started dinner, he decided to call to tell me he was taking me out for dinner. I was excited so I got all dolled up and waited for his arrival. When he got home we were so busy talking about the day and so excited to go out that we accidentally left the car keys in the house and locked ourselves out. After we shut the door, we realized what we had done. Normally in this situation I would get irritated but I just couldn't stop myself from laughing. Andrew was the worried one. Since the break in, we leave all the windows and doors bolted so there was no way we were going to get in unless we broke a window. Now I am thinking, "Oh great that is exactly what we need right now, to pay for a broken window before we move." Before I grabbed a hammer to smash one of our windows into pieces, Andrew came up with a pretty smart idea. So I sat back and watched him go to work. When he finally got the window to open without breaking the glass, it would only open about 8 inches. So me being the smallest, had to squeeze through the small space to get into the house. If only we had a camera to take a picture when I got stuck at my waist. ;) I did manage to get my way through but I cant imagine what my neighbours were thinking when they saw me trying to squeeze my way through the window.

Andrew and I had a good laugh afterward but I will now keep a spare key outside. There is no way I am ever doing that again. With that all said and done I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Let It Snow!

I just had to blog about this most wonderful event that is happening as we speak. IT IS SNOWING IN TEXAS!!! It was like Christmas opening our door and finding white snow covering the ground. You think we are excited, you should see Cooper. We opened the door and he bolted. Hes out there rolling around and eating the snow. He missed the snow more then us I think lol. Poor Texans who don't know how to drive in the snow, and my poor husband who has to put up with their slow driving while he makes his way back to the base. I think we have more snow here then there is back home in Idaho. How crazy is that?!

Right now as I'm typing, I am listening to the sounds of people throwing snow balls and blowing up tubes you would use in the summer. I don't think Texans have experienced this much snow before but it is fun to sit back and watch them all go crazy. I think this calls for a blanket, a good book, and some hot chocolate. :)

Epic Night

One thing I am not going to miss is the rain and thunder storms. Texas has legit storms. You would think lightning streaking across the sky would be cool right?! I cant say your wrong or right because it is cool in a way but it also brings REALLY loud thunder and no sleep for me. The thunder was so loud last night that my house was literally shaking. Try sleeping with that and having Moka crawling under the blanket beside you trying to get away from it. When the Texans say it rains, they mean it floods. In about 5 minutes of pouring rain the streets on my block were covered in water. For some reason this little town doesn't have gutters for the rain to go, so it just goes on the road and on the lawn. This means a lot of accidents. Along with the thunder, I listened to ambulance's and police sirens go off most of the night.  It seemed that the storm would never stop. It started at eleven and around 3, the thunder wasn't as loud, so I figured I would catch a few Z's. But around 6 when Andrew called   me before he went to work, it started up again. So all in all, it was a long night. I hardly got any sleep and the storm is still going. I am done with Texas storms and its tornadoes.

Work Hard, Play Harder

It is finally Friday! I just have to say I just love the weekends and honestly who doesn't?! My hubby is going to be home with me and I love it when he is home. We can be doing nothing and still have a great time. Theses last couple of days everything has been falling into place for Florida. I have a couple job interviews when we get there and everything is just coming along. It makes me so excited to go home and not have to worry about anything. I hate stress but lately I have been stress free. The military has definitely been good to me and my husband. I am so grateful for all the time he takes out of his day to provide for me. He makes me so happy and I love him ssssoooo much! Waking up to phone calls with good news on the other line has just made my day and has put me is such a great mood today. When Andrew gets home in the next hour or so, my day will just get better. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! :)

Almost There!

It is finally the new year and January has arrived. This month is going to be full of craziness and a lot of running around. Andrew graduates in 3 weeks and we are Idaho bound. I cannot wait to see my family and friends. It has been far too long. January and February are going to be busy months for us this year. We are going to be running around a lot during the few weeks we are in Idaho. Bouncing back and forth between families. I just have to say I cant wait to get this move over with and to be home to relax. Luckily I get to just sit on the couch and watch the movers pack everything up for me. One glory of being in the military. :) Come towards the end of February, we will be in Florida and I will have to unpack everything. But putting a home together and creating color schemes are one of my favorite things to do. I hate moving to a place where we are unsure where we are going to live. I'm the type of person who likes everything organized and put together. One thing I have learned so far in being in the military, is that everything is not set in stone. You have to play everything by ear. They can change everything and anything last minute if they want to. So this has been a real challenge for me. The other day, we put us on the waiting list for base housing. The housing on base is gorgeous, one of the best base housing there is. But, we aren't a hundred percent sure if we are going to get a house on base so we have to go house hunting also. This is a lot of stress riding on both mine and Andrew shoulders. How are we suppose to move to a place where we don't even have a place to live yet? I don't know how we are going to do it, but we always figure it out. But like Andrew always tells me, "Home is where the Air Force is."

New Year New Life!

Happy new year everyone! This year has been crazy. I got married, Andrew joined the Air Force, and we moved to Texas. I can't wait to see what twenty twelve has to bring. Going home and moving to Florida is a great way to start the new year. This month is going to get a little crazy with processing and moving...again. Thank goodness this will be the last move for at least 2 years. At least all the stress will be worth it in the end. I can't wait to see my family and friends. It has been far too long and it feels like its been an eternity since I've had a good home-cooked meal from my mom. :) And I cannot wait to lay out on the beach in Florida with my husband and be able to call it home. I'm glad to put 2011 behind me and I can't wait to begin another chapter in my life with my husband by my side. <3
