Boxes are Empty

What a long couple of days it has been. Monday we finally got our things. :) There is nothing worse then living in an empty house. I was so happy to have my things and especially my bed back. I did say we were going to get everything unpacked that night. We failed miserably at doing so. We got so worn out that we only unpacked our living room and kitchen. Today I finally unpacked our last few boxes in our bedroom. Our stuff got here two days ago so not bad. The only thing left we have to do is hang pictures on the wall and our house will be complete. Decorating is always the fun part. :) I am so glad most of the things are put away. It makes me really happy and motivated to keep things organized.

I have to say how awesome our neighbours are. Monday night one of our neighbours came over and introduced themselves and brought over dinner for us. How nice are they?! Then the next night our neighbours across the street did the same thing. People here are so nice. We are so lucky to live in such a nice area as we do. It also turns out everyone who lives next to us are military. There is nothing better then living next to people who you can talk to and who can relate with you. I am just loving it even more. Life cannot get any better then this.

Sunday Lovin

We are finally in our new home! :) Thankfully our stuff is coming tomorrow because I dont think I can stand sleeping on an air mattress for much longer. Tomorrow is going to be a busy and tiring day. The trucker is bringing our stuff by tomorrow morning around 8:30. Lucky for us they will bring in all of our stuff and even set up the bed and couches for us. But me being a neat freak and all, I will not just let our stuff sit in the boxes much longer. We are going to be up all day unpacking and putting things away until every box is empty and things are put away. I just can't stand sleeping in a messy and unorganized home. So hopefully everything runs smoothly tomorrow so we can get stuff done.

So yesterday we took Cooper to the beach for the first time. And he loved it! Not a big surprise. We knew he would and he loved the attention he was gettting from all the people there. Which surprisingly people are not afraid of him here. Our neighbour hood is filled with little kids and they just love him. Cooper is the biggest teddy bear and loves the attention from strangers especially kids. So he is definiently enjoying himself here. Well we are still loving life as expected. There is nothing out there like Florida. It is a place everyone should at least visit. I am so glad we will be here for a couple years because we are loving it as I have said over and over again. We are just so happy here and everything is falling into place. I will post pictures of the house when everything is put together. We are still waiting for a few things we ordered for the kitchen and living room. But until then everyone enjoy the rest of your Sunday! :)

New House!

So these last couples of days have been really busy. Andrew went back to work yesterday and I have been job hunting. Today we were able to see the inside of the house today! :) I love it. It is everything we wanted plus more. It is very spacious. I don't think we will ever get enough furniture to fill it. We have so much storage space which is a good thing because that's exactly what we needed. Our master bedroom is so big. It is literally two big rooms put together. Everything in this house is big and perfect. Moving day is this Saturday and tmo is bringing all of our stuff Monday morning. :) Only two nights on a air mattress. We timed everything perfectly. I promised pictures of the home so here you go. :)

Just a Couple of Beach Bums

I have had the best of time today! When I woke up, I looked out the window and guess what?! It was sunny. I was so excited because this meant we were going to spend this sunny day at the beach. :) We decided to go to Destin because they have a really big boardwalk and gave us something to do throughout the day. I am so glad we did because the sand at the beach was so white and beautiful. Me and Andrew slipped our shoes off and ran in the water like little kids splashing around. We decided to take our puppy, Moka. She is the cutest little Pomeranian. Here is little Moka running around in the sand like a nut. If any of you have seen her, you know how small she is and how funny it would be to see her jumping through holes in the sand. It was the funniest thing. I guess it's a good thing our dogs like the beach because I know we will be spending most of our days there. Besides laying out on the beach, we went out to eat at a cool shack called Fudpuckers. Weird name but really good food. This is where a lot of spring breakers go to have fun. Underneath the huge dock they have there, is a pond filled with over a 100 alligators. When I found this out I was super excited and when they told me we could feed and hold one, I was all over that. It was funny because I was the one jumping up and down wanting to hold the alligator and Andrew was sitting in the corner telling me he's not sure if I should do this. How many opportunities do you get to hold an alligator?! Very rare so of course I wasn't going to pass it up. When they brought the little guy out, Andrew finally started to get into it. We both held him and got a picture together. I have to say if you ever get a chance to hold one, do it because it is an experience you will never forget. The skin on an alligator is like leather. It was so cool. And I think I made him a little mad because his mouth was taped shut so what do I do? I start touching and feeling his teeth that were poking out. He started hissing at me, warning me. But I just kept doing what I was doing. We got to keep our photo and that photo will hang in our home. Next time though I want it to be a bigger alligator. Call me crazy but I love the adventure. :)

Extended Vacation

After a long 2500 mile drive, we are finally in Florida! I have to say I am looking forward to making a life here for us. It hasn't been a clear day since we've arrived but even with it being cloudy and rainy, it is gorgeous. The water is so blue here and the sand is so white. I haven't seen this nice of sand since Hawaii. I already started my swimsuit collection because I know when we have days off, most of my days will be spent in a swimsuit at the beach. A lot of people have asked if we have been inside our house yet. The answer is no, but we have been by it to at least see the outside and the neighbor hood. And I have to say the house is a lot bigger in person. The house is being cleaned right now and next week we will be able to move in and I will post pictures. When we got here Andrew was going to start work but they gave him extended free leave. So he doesn't have to report in until Tuesday. :) That meant we could travel the cities and see what is around us together. We have three cities arounds us. Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach, and Destin. We are living in Fort Walton but Pensacola and Destin are not even 30 mintues away so we had everything right by us which is really nice. I feel like I'm on a long vacation. I don't think I will ever get used to living next to the ocean. We walk out the door and its right there. I can't wait to get into the house because our backyard is literally the beach and I will be able to fall asleep to the sounds of the waves. Talk about paradise. Today we went to Destin and watched their version of the Mardi Gras parade. It wasn't anything like New Orleans I think.... Well let's just say I didn't have to do anything to earn my Mardi Gras beads. But back at home there is nothing like it. It was so much fun and something I will definitely remember. We are so lucky we got stationed at a place like this. I am so excited to see what is to come.

Busy, Busy, Busy.....

I am finally home! Its been nice to be home with family. Very much needed. This week has been so crazy. Everyday we have something planned. We hardly get a chance to sit down and relax. Between two families and trying to make everyone happy, is very difficult. But we can only do so much. This is the time to do what we want. My parents have been amazing since we have arrived. They have cooked us delicious home cooked meals, took me shopping for house decor, and made sure the car and us were taken care of for our long drive to Florida. Also made my puppies feel right at home. I love them so much. I am so lucky to have parents like them. I know no matter what they will always be there for us through everything and anything. As much as I don't want to leave, I am really excited to get to Florida to see what it is like. Its crazy to look back and see where we were less then a year ago to where we are now. Our future is looking bright and I am excited to see what is to come. I am sorry to everyone who we have not been able to see. Life has been busy this week and things come up. We try to do everything we can but there is only so much we can do in a week. Four more days and we have to make the LONG 2500 mile drove to Florida. Wish us luck because driving that many miles from Sunday through valentines day, we are going to need it. Hope everyone has a fabulous week and a Happy Valentines day! <3
