Just a Couple of Beach Bums

I have had the best of time today! When I woke up, I looked out the window and guess what?! It was sunny. I was so excited because this meant we were going to spend this sunny day at the beach. :) We decided to go to Destin because they have a really big boardwalk and gave us something to do throughout the day. I am so glad we did because the sand at the beach was so white and beautiful. Me and Andrew slipped our shoes off and ran in the water like little kids splashing around. We decided to take our puppy, Moka. She is the cutest little Pomeranian. Here is little Moka running around in the sand like a nut. If any of you have seen her, you know how small she is and how funny it would be to see her jumping through holes in the sand. It was the funniest thing. I guess it's a good thing our dogs like the beach because I know we will be spending most of our days there. Besides laying out on the beach, we went out to eat at a cool shack called Fudpuckers. Weird name but really good food. This is where a lot of spring breakers go to have fun. Underneath the huge dock they have there, is a pond filled with over a 100 alligators. When I found this out I was super excited and when they told me we could feed and hold one, I was all over that. It was funny because I was the one jumping up and down wanting to hold the alligator and Andrew was sitting in the corner telling me he's not sure if I should do this. How many opportunities do you get to hold an alligator?! Very rare so of course I wasn't going to pass it up. When they brought the little guy out, Andrew finally started to get into it. We both held him and got a picture together. I have to say if you ever get a chance to hold one, do it because it is an experience you will never forget. The skin on an alligator is like leather. It was so cool. And I think I made him a little mad because his mouth was taped shut so what do I do? I start touching and feeling his teeth that were poking out. He started hissing at me, warning me. But I just kept doing what I was doing. We got to keep our photo and that photo will hang in our home. Next time though I want it to be a bigger alligator. Call me crazy but I love the adventure. :)
