Life Update
It has been so long since I have got on my blog to pass time and write about what is going on in life besides the weekly pregnancy blog. Life hasn't been too exciting recently. Just over a week ago we returned back to Florida after spending a couple weeks back in Idaho with the fam. It was a great visit and for me it went by way too fast. Everyday we were there, we had something going on. I feel like I never got an opportunity to sit and enjoy all the company. My parents did take us on a four wheeler ride through the hills and fields the night before we left and I have to say that was really refreshing. I was always one of those small town girls who wanted to get away and run away to the city. Now that I am in the city, I miss home. I love that we can get away from our crazy life from time to time to visit home. When we flew back to Florida, we found out we had a hurricane coming our way. I know a lot of you heard about Hurricane Isaac. It came and went. We were just outside of the storm. We didn't get hit with that much rain or wind. Me and Andrew went for a walk during the storm because of how cool it was outside. It very rarely gets that cool even at night so I figured I would take advantage of that. As far as my pregnancy, if you keep up with my weekly posts, you would know it is going really well. Everyone comments on how small I look in my pictures. I don't know if I should take that as a compliment or not. Baby girl is growing normal and is where she should be so if I'm small, maybe that's just how my body is. Eventually I will pop out but for right now I like the rate I am going. I do regret not taking photos of my first few weeks because you can see a big difference from then to now. I will just have to keep that in mind for next time. We finally decided on a name and it is for sure this time. I had a moment where I was changing it all the time. But we decided on Oaklie Kaye. We love it and it is very different and a name you don't hear everyday. And for the first time since being home, we got to go baby shopping. We got a lot of cute clothes and goodies. Oaklie is definiently going to be a very spoiled little girl and it's not just because of me. She already has her daddy wrapped around her little finger. Andrew has been so amazing throughout the whole pregnancy and he is so excited to be a dad. Every night he will roll over in bed and put his hand on my belly and talk to her. He loves the reaction he gets out of her because she kicks right where his hand is every time. It is one of the best things to experience. As far as Andrew being a workaholic and me being pregnant, that is pretty much all that is going on in life right now. In only 4 short months that will all change. But for right now I am going to enjoy getting as much sleep as possible and spending as much time as I can ALONE with the hubs. :)
